Originally hailing from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Kathryn left country life behind to study Communications Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Since graduating, Kathryn has worked at various design studios in Montréal, London, and New York. 
A true admirer of the relationship between old and new, Kathryn uses classic and modern techniques to help clients seamlessly communicate their missions to the world.&#38;nbsp;While working full time, Kathryn has also been a part-time lecturer at Pratt Institute and The University of Texas at Austin. 
 &#38;nbsp;
She has no relation to the other Katherine Dreier.

Skin Spa
A fresh set of packaging, graphics, web designs for a growing spa &#38;nbsp;


	DESCRIPTIONSkin Spa is the spot for busy city dwellers looking for quick solutions to the grit and grime. A redesign of their branding graphics took a fashion-forward approach to image crops and using textures to communicate complicated services and ailments their clients faced. A bold and clean design was developed for the new product line, using 7 unique geometric patterns to speak to the product benefits — inspired by the tech-centric services provided at the spa locations.

Gretchen Sampesn
An identity for an Acupuncturist


	DESCRIPTIONGretchen’s Identity sought to capture the traditional essence of her work — Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine — while feeling modern and unique. In a world of generic floral images and vista print solutions surrounding her field, the business cards were printed on a textured, off-white paper and hand stamped on the reverse side to make a distinct impression. Her website was designed to feel bright and welcoming. A classic prescription pad for natural herbs and medicinals completes the identity suite.

Appalachian Beekeeping Collective
A logo and packaging design for a unique honey


	DESCRIPTIONFrom a rich tradition of apiculture in Appalachia to a way to build jobs and protect the mountainous land they call home, the Appalachian Beekeeping Collective is producing a unique honey composed from various hives from a collective of local beekeepers. Branding, strategy, and packaging design was developed to brand the collective and spread the sweet word of this remarkable group. In addition, we developed the brand and website to the parent organization known as Appalachian Headwaters.

	DESCRIPTIONEvery Mother Counts works to ensure that every mother around the world not only survives but thrives. The updated mark marries custom typography with the legacy icon of a mothers embrace; arranged in a flexible system for varied use and 12 languages. Custom illustrations created to bring awareness to the sensitive nature of the issues mothers face, straight forward infographic styles for data, warm-toned colors, and a balance of photography showcasing a mothers joy and struggle combine to create the full, impactful system.

Oregon Farmers Markets Association
A fresh identity celebrating the diversity in Oregon’s farm offerings


	DESCRIPTIONOregon Farmers Markets Association (OFMA) has been connecting farmers to customers since 1987. Their look was updated with bright colors celebrating the regions of the state, a series of illustrations showcasing all that is grown and raised in Oregon, and a custom geometric acronym logo. A flexible logo system was key for the diverse applications needed by the association. &#38;nbsp;

A collection of student memories


	DESCRIPTIONSelected to design the annual yearbook for the graduating seniors at Pratt Institute, a book about sustaining relationships and reusing what you have translated into the yearbook for the class of 2009. Created environments represented majors, recycled cardboard covers where screen printed by hand, and an eco-friendly typeface — designed to use less ink — carries student tributes throughout. There are twelve different covers to choose from that spell out Do Not Discard.
